MediPing Privacy Policy

MediPing (“the app”) is an offline medicine reminder application. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.

Information stored by the app

When you create a reminder, MediPing stores the medicine name, dosage, reminder time, repeat interval, enabled or disabled state, and related timestamps on your device. When you mark a reminder as taken, skipped, snoozed, or missed, the app stores that medication history on your device.

This information is used only to display your schedule and history and to schedule reminders. MediPing does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, contacts, location, photos, or precise health measurements.

Information sent from the app

MediPing does not require an account and does not send your reminder or medication-history information to MediPing or any third-party server. The current development build includes Google Mobile Ads SDK with Google’s official test banner ad unit. The ad SDK may process device information, IP address, diagnostics, and advertising-related identifiers as described in Google’s privacy policy.

Permissions

The app may request notification permission so it can show medicine reminders. It uses alarm scheduling to trigger reminders at the times you choose, receives Android boot and time-change broadcasts needed to restore those reminders, and uses vibration for notification feedback. These permissions are used only for the reminder feature.

The development ad SDK uses internet access and the advertising ID permission to request test ads. These permissions are not used for medication reminders.

Data retention and deletion

Your reminder and history data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall MediPing. Android backup is disabled by the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored data according to your device’s Android settings.

Children’s privacy

MediPing is not directed specifically at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or from anyone else.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. The updated policy will include a new effective date.
